About the role
The Pharmacy Tech III - Infusion position involves performing patient refill calls, filling delivery ticket orders, staging compound worksheets, pulling necessary ingredients, packing supplies and medications for Dynamex or Fedex delivery, coordinating courier services, equipment cleaning and testing, purchasing medications and supplies, and receiving and stocking medications and supplies.
Responsibilities
- Performing patient refill calls
- Filling delivery ticket orders
- Staging compound worksheets and pulling necessary ingredients
- Packing supplies and medications for Dynamex or Fedex delivery
- Cleaning and testing equipment
- Purchasing medications and supplies
- Receiving and stocking medications and supplies
- Selecting products to be filled and labeling using computer systems compliant with departmental policy and procedures
- Reviewing compounding products for issues and alerting the pharmacist for assistance if needed
- Accurately preparing prescriptions according to department standards
- Packaging medications, medical supplies, and equipment for issue and delivery ensuring proper storage prior to delivery and in transit
- Preparing medications and medical supplies; verifying the accuracy of order entries
- Computing all necessary calculations
Requirements
- Must hold a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) license
- Minimum five (5) years of relevant experience required
- Experience in project management/system responsibility (e.g., Pyxis, narcotic control, QI, or pharmacy buyer/biller/analyst)
- Two to five (2-5) years of previous IV and chemotherapy experience preferred
- Knowledge of pharmacy terminology and calculations
- Proven computer experience and accurate data entry skills
- Detail and organizational skills to sort, file, and retrieve information
- Excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas to all levels of audiences
Qualifications
- Pharmacy Technician License issued by the California State Board of Pharmacy
- Expanded responsibilities over several areas or Pharmacy School graduate
- Pharmacy Intern License

Pay
Annual Full Pay Range: $67,756 - $84,209 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent: $32.45 - $40.33
