About the role

The Pharmacy Technician III position assists the pharmacist in the preparation of medications for patient use (oral and parenteral), assists in the distribution of medications, record keeping, and billing functions, maintains inventory levels, performs assigned operational duties in a scheduled area, and assists pharmacists in completing medication orders and related distribution duties in the assigned areas.

Responsibilities

• Aids in the preparation and distribution of medications.
• Maintains accurate records and ensures proper inventory levels.
• Assists in the completion of medication orders and related distribution duties.
• Performs best possible medication histories for patients.

Requirements

• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) issued by PTCB.
• Pharmacy Technician License issued by the California State Board of Pharmacy.
• A minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience.
• Experience in project management/system responsibility (e.g., Pyxis, narcotic control, QI, or pharmacy buyer/biller/analyst).
• Possessing a Pharmacy School graduate degree.
• Expanded responsibilities over several areas.
• Possessing a Pharmacy Intern License.

Qualifications

• Chemotherapy drug preparation skills.
• Investigational Drug Service experience.
• Hospital pharmacy experience.
• Sterile compounding skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Pay

Annual Full Pay Range: $89,972 - $89,972 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%). Hourly Equivalent: $43.09 - $43.09

Schedule

Variable, 8 hour shifts, Monday-Friday.
