About the role

The Pharmacy Technician III position assists the pharmacist in the preparation of medications for patient use, distribution of medications, record keeping, and billing functions. They also maintain inventory levels and perform assigned operational duties in a scheduled area. This role may also assist the pharmacist in performing best possible medication histories for patients.

Responsibilities

• Aids in the preparation and distribution of medications according to established procedures.
• Assists in record keeping and billing functions.
• Maintains inventory levels and performs operational duties in a scheduled area.
• Assists pharmacists in completing medication orders and related distribution duties.
• May assist in medication histories for patients.

Requirements

• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) issued by PTCB.
• Pharmacy Technician License issued by the California State Board of Pharmacy.
• A minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience.
• Experience in project management/system responsibility (e.g. Pyxis, narcotic control, QI, or pharmacy buyer/biller/analyst).
• Possessing a Pharmacy School graduate degree.
• Expanded responsibilities over several areas.
• Possessing a Pharmacy Intern License.

Qualifications

• Chemotherapy drug preparation skills.
• Investigational Drug Service experience.
• Hospital pharmacy experience.
• Sterile compounding skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Knowledge of pharmaceuticals and their uses.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions.

• Strong organizational skills.

Pay

Annual Full Pay Range: $89,972 - $89,972 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%).

Schedule

Variable, 8 hour shifts, Monday-Friday.
