PHARMACY TECH II - CERTIFIED

Overview

This position will entail all activities associated with an Oncology infusion center pharmacy technician, compounding hazardous medications, and additional responsibilities of replenishing Emergency Department stock through utilization of Automated Dispensing Cabinets.

Responsibilities

• Understanding of Pharmacy practice, federal & state laws, pharmacology with an emphasis on antineoplastic therapies
• Understanding the role and usefulness or various national standards such as those from the NCCN, ASCO, ONS, Chest Guidelines
• Competency and familiarity with various computer programs such as Word, Excel, Outlook
• The ability to prepare medications as ordered either by compounding or in a USP Chapter 797/800 clean room
• The ability to supervise and direct others in the preparation of medications
• Supervising and directing others in the preparation of medications as ordered

Requirements

• High school graduate
• Techician Training Program desired

Qualifications

• Education: Entry USD $18.75/Hr. Max USD $29.06/Hr.
