Pharmacy Tech - Evening Shift

About the role

The position is responsible for assisting pharmacists and pharmacy personnel in various aspects of hospital pharmacy operations, including medication preparation, dispensing, and delivery.

Responsibilities

• Assists pharmacists and pharmacy personnel in preparing, dispensing, and delivering medications for inpatients and outpatients.
• Performs related duties such as charging medications, filling Pyxis™ Medstations, crediting and redistributing returns, and maintaining inventory levels.
• Assists in the preparation, dispensing, and delivery of parental solutions for inpatients and outpatients.
• Maintains workflow in the IV room by delivering IVs to nursing units, recycling IV products, processing returns, and batching IV’s and syringes as backup stock.
• Ensures the delivery of quality care appropriate for the age of the patient population.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician in good standing.
• Pennsylvania Registration.
• Preferred: Hospital experience.
• Preferred: Experience with Pyxis.

Pay

Schedule

40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 2:30p-11p. Weekend and holiday requirements, per department needs.
