Pharmacy Tech/CSR

About the role

NTT DATA Services is seeking Pharmacy Technicians/CSR for a remote contract opportunity. This is a 1‑year contract position.

Responsibilities

• Take Prior Auth in‑bound calls from providers, pharmacies, members, etc., providing professional and courteous phone assistance through the criteria‑based prior authorization process.
• Maintain complete, timely and accurate documentation of reviews.
• Transfer all clinical questions, escalations and judgement calls to the pharmacist team.
• Assist with outbound calls, reviewing and processing Prior Auths received via fax and ePA, monitoring and responding to inquiries via department mailboxes, and other duties as assigned by leadership.

Requirements

• Verifiable High School diploma or GED required.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy Technician certification preferred (state or national level); Pharm Tech Trainee license also considered.

Skills

• 2+ years of experience in a high‑volume Healthcare or PBM/Prior Authorization call center.
• 2+ years’ experience with medical terminology and coding.
• 2+ years utilizing MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, etc.) on a daily basis.
• 1+ years’ experience as a pharmacy technician coordinating activities in an administrative support function.

Pay

The starting pay rate is $20.00 per hour. This reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the role across U.S. locations; actual compensation may vary based on work location, experience, technical skills, and other qualifications.

Schedule

• Two shift options (both CST):
  • Mon‑Fri 11 a.m.–11 p.m. (8‑hour shift); training M‑F for approx. 6 weeks, 8 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
  • Mon‑Fri 8 a.m.–8 p.m. (8‑hour shift); training M‑F for approx. 6 weeks, 8 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
