Pharmacy Tech Certified Outpatient

About the role

This position assists the Pharmacist in prioritizing medication orders and works closely with Pharmacist(s) in determining routine daily department needs. Performs medication order functions such as order interpretation, preparation, drug distribution, and quality assurance. Provides exemplary customer service and respect at all times during interactions with patients, customers, healthcare providers, and other associates.

Responsibilities

• Aid in the preparation and distribution of medications
• Interpret and verify medication orders
• Ensure accurate drug distribution and quality control
• Provide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare providers
• Assist in maintaining a clean and organized pharmacy environment

Requirements

• High School Diploma/G.E.D.
• Prior retail or hospital outpatient pharmacy technician experience preferred
• Certified Pharmacy Tech - National Pharmacy Technician Certification Board - Within 6 months of hire
• Certified Pharmacy Tech - Active Pharmacy Technician License (Kansas), Certification (Colorado) or Provisional Certification (Colorado), Required

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office

Skills

• Knowledge of pharmacy operations and regulations
• Proficiency in using pharmacy software and equipment
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
