PHARMACY TECH
About the role
This is a contract position for a Pharmacy Technician, requiring experience in an IV room and work in a sterile compounding space. The role involves working 40 hours per week, with varying shifts.
Responsibilities
The Pharmacy Technician will work in the pharmacy department, which consists of approximately 60 staff members, including pharmacists and technicians. The specific shift details are as follows: 5x8 hour shifts for day/evening and 7 on/off with 10 hour shifts for overnight.
Requirements
- Hospital pharmacy experience is required
- Sterile compounding certification is preferred
Qualifications
Candidates without hospital pharmacy experience will not be considered for the role. Those with sterile compounding certification will be considered first.
Skills
The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced pharmacy environment and be able to work effectively in a team.

Work Environment
The pharmacy department is located in the St. David's Medical Center, with approximately 450 beds. The dress code for the unit is as follows: pharmacists wear sage green tops and black pants, while technicians wear khaki tops and black pants.
