About the role
The Pharmacy Tech at CHI Health CUMC-Bergan Mercy assists Pharmacists by preparing, filling, and distributing medications to help patients feel better and recover from illnesses or injuries. Responsibilities include assisting in the preparation of sterile intravenous admixtures, maintaining prescription files, answering phones, and triaging calls.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, fill, and distribute unit-dose drugs and perform medication exchange with nursing units.
- Assist in the preparation of sterile intravenous admixtures under pharmacist supervision.
- Maintain prescription files, answer phones, and triage calls.
- Maintain adequate levels of drugs and record items on the order-book that fall below minimum levels.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Pharmacy Technician License in the State of NE AND Pharmacy Tech Certification, if indicated
