About the role

Join the experienced, team-oriented pharmacy department at Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital as our next Pharmacy Supervisor. We’re looking for a collaborative, patient-centered pharmacist who is passionate about leading within a supportive and high-performing environment. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient care while mentoring and guiding a dedicated team.

Responsibilities

• Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: hires, trains, assigns work, manages & evaluates performance, conducts professional development plans.
• Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.
• Aids in pharmacy operations and integration with other departments.
• Provides pharmaceutical care appropriate to the needs and age of the patients served.
• Interprets patient data to identify, prevent, and resolve drug therapy problems and ensures safe and effective drug therapy.
• Collaborates with Pharmacists, Technicians, and Students to coordinate and review their work.
• Participates in the development and enforcement of pharmacy policies and procedures in accordance with all hospital policies and governmental regulations.
• May assist in developing departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets and adhering to those goals.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy.
• Experience: Supervisor experience preferred, but not required.
• Licenses & Certifications: Medication Therapy Services in MORPh.

Qualifications

• Education: Master's Degree in Pharmacy preferred.
• Experience: 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Skills

• Strong leadership and management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
• Knowledge of pharmacy operations and regulatory requirements.
