Pharmacy Support - Full Time

About the role

We are looking for a dependable full-time Pharmacy Support person that serves patients and customers by obtaining or receiving merchandise, totaling bills, accepting payment, and making change. The role includes placing and executing orders and returns, maintaining and stocking supplies, and keeping the store clean and professional.

Responsibilities

• Assists patients and customers by running the cash register for over-the-counter sales, greeting customers, offering assistance, receiving payments, and providing other requested services.
• Assists patients via drive-up window to make service more convenient.
• Maintains over-the-counter stock of medications by reviewing shipments, applying price tags, and placing items in their appropriate shelf locations.
• Prepares mail order and delivery prescriptions by contacting the patient, calculating charges, packaging prescriptions, and taking them to the post office for mailing.
• Places orders for supplies, prepares drug returns, and submits data for supplier approval.
• Keeps product shelves and counters neat, clean, and well-stocked by "facing" shelves, arranging items, and removing expired or short-dated products.
• Maintains the storefront and waiting area through cleaning activities as needed.
• Develops courteous and professional relationships with patients, customers, and co-workers.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 6 months of customer service experience.
• Strong communication skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to work as part of a team to ensure patient satisfaction and a pleasant work environment.
• Ability to multitask.
• Ability to provide excellent customer service.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow oral and written instructions.

Pharmacy experience is preferred but not required; we will provide training.

Schedule

No nights, Sundays, or holidays. Some flexibility in scheduling is available.
