About the role

The Pharmacy Success Coordinator serves as a key liaison between Program Success Management, Home Delivery Pharmacy, and partner pharmacies to ensure patients receive their medications accurately and on time. This role focuses on maintaining current formularies, ensuring eligibility accuracy, resolving issues that could delay dispensing, and building strong, trusting relationships with assigned accounts. The coordinator works closely with internal teams and clients on a daily basis to support high-quality patient care and overall program success.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary liaison between Program Success Management, the Pharmacy Team, and clients to support timely and accurate medication dispensing.
  • Work directly with the Pharmacy Team and clients to provide fast, efficient, and high-quality patient care.
  • Maintain constant communication with the Pharmacy Team and Account Management to keep all stakeholders informed about changes that may affect patient care.
  • Act as a liaison between assigned clients and relevant internal departments to resolve client issues and manage day-to-day client inquiries.
  • Resolve client issues in a timely and professional manner, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor and help ensure that formularies remain current and accurate for assigned accounts.
  • Support the accuracy of patient eligibility information to prevent delays in dispensing medications.
  • Build and nurture strong client relationships by understanding internal and external business needs and the broader context of each account.
  • Collaborate closely with Account Management to align on client expectations, priorities, and service standards.
  • Apply problem-solving skills to identify root causes of issues and recommend effective solutions.
  • Utilize Excel and other tools to manage data entry, reporting, and tracking related to client programs and pharmacy operations.

Essential Skills

  • 2+ years of experience in Program Success Management or Customer Service.
  • 2+ years of experience in retail or mail order pharmacy.
  • Active Pharmacy Technician license or certification as required by state law.
  • Confident communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively at all levels of internal and external organizations.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in pharmacy software systems and technology.
  • Basic knowledge of dispensing systems.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Completion of a pharmacy technician training program is preferred.
  • Pharmacy Technician Board Certification is a plus.
  • Experience working in a call center environment is beneficial.
  • Experience handling pharmacy coupons is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with data entry processes and accuracy standards.
  • Demonstrated intellectual agility and comfort dealing with complex concepts.
  • Proactive initiative, with the ability to take on tasks without being prompted while following workplace policies.
  • Effective priority-setting skills, focusing on what is most important for patients and clients.
  • Able to convey information effectively and efficiently to internal and external stakeholders.

Work Environment

This role is based in a closed-door mail order pharmacy environment, providing a focused setting dedicated to supporting patients through home delivery services. The position follows a hybrid schedule, with the opportunity to work from home two days per week and on-site for the remaining days. Standard hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with a 30-minute lunch break, and you will be off on major holidays and weekends. The organization is a small but rapidly growing pharmacy operation, offering the chance to join at an exciting stage of expansion. Executive leadership is described as very supportive and engaged, with leadership frequently present in the pharmacy and new roles being created as the company grows. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Indianapolis, IN.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.
