Pharmacy Student Intern
About the role
Safeway, a division of Albertsons Companies, is seeking pharmacy students and pharmacists interested in building meaningful relationships with patients and making a positive impact on healthcare. The internship provides hands-on experience in a progressive setting that supports patient care.
Responsibilities
- Takes all steps required to fill prescriptions in compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies and procedures
- Provides advice and consultation to customers and health care professionals regarding prescription knowledge, drug therapy, and health-related products and concerns
- Implements company initiatives to increase pharmacy profitability
- Participates in clinical services
Requirements/Qualifications
- Currently enrolled as a full-time student in an accredited school of pharmacy
- Valid state intern license if required by the state of employment
- Ability to adapt to changes in schedule and work priorities
- Ability to cooperate with others and work as part of a team

Pay
The pay range is $21.00 to $24.00 per hour, with starting rates varying based on location, experience, qualifications, and applicable collective bargaining agreements.
