Pharmacy Senior Technician I/UKHC
About the role
This position will provide a variety of specialty pharmacy services including obtaining prior authorizations, enrolling patients in financial support programs, and coordinating infusion appointments for health care administered medications within UK HealthCare. You will work closely with nurses, physicians, and UK Specialty Pharmacy staff to improve access to medications for a variety of sub specialty disease states. Requirements
- Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Required Related Experience: 1 year.
- Required License/Registration/Certification: Nationally certified Pharmacy Technician by either PTCB (PTCE) or NHA (ExCPT); must be registered with the Kentucky Board of Pharmacy within 30 days of hire.
- Physical Requirements: Use of a computer workstation; completion of tasks with repetitive motions; occasional pushing, pulling, and/or lifting objects up to 50 pounds; may require personal protective equipment when handling hazardous medications.
- Supervisory Responsibilities: None.
Qualifications
Preferred: Hospital/retail pharmacy technician and/or healthcare customer service experience.
Skills
This position requires dependability and the ability to prioritize. The successful candidate must be reliable and demonstrate excellent attention to detail.

Salary range: $18.50‑27.31 per hour.
