Responsibilities
- Follow well-defined instructions utilizing necessary skills to receive and fill medications under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist
- Receive/triage prescriptions, order entry, third-party adjudication, fill and label medications
- Facilitate prior authorizations and patient assistance resources
- Complete point-of-sale transactions, schedule deliveries (meds 2 beds), answer the telephone, and direct calls to appropriate staff
- Rx/OTC inventory procurement and receiving, stock/supply replenishment, general pharmacy organization, and cleanliness
- Provide exceptional customer service
Pay
Estimated pay range for this position is $18.32 - $23.82 per hour depending on experience.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, Certificate, GED, Training, or Experience
- Currently registered as a Pharmacy Technician in the state of Florida
- Maintains PTCB or ICPT Certification, or Florida Pharmacy Intern License (preferred)
- Retail-Outpatient, Ambulatory Pharmacy experience preferred (may include internship training hours)
- Minimum required experience: Less than 1 year
