About the role

The Pharmacy Resident PGY1-ARMC(Variable)FT position builds on Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) education and outcomes to contribute to the development of clinical pharmacists responsible for medication-related care of patients with a wide range of conditions, eligible for board certification, and eligible for postgraduate year two (PGY2) pharmacy residency training.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, accrediting standards, health system policies and sound pharmaceutical ethics.
• Make decisions independently or in collaboration with another pharmacist or licensed health care provider.
• Maintain competency and work with patients in all age groups unless assigned to work with a specific age group.
• Direct patient interactions such as medication and disease state education counseling, minor lab procedures and interpret lab results, administer immunizations, and work according to approved health system protocols.
• May cover at any Adena entity depending on area of assignment.

Requirements

• Current license to practice Pharmacy in the State of Ohio.
• BLS and/or ACLS certification, dependent on area assigned.
• Immunization certification, dependent on area assigned.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a BS or PharmD ACPE Accredited Program in Pharmacy.
• Major/Area of Concentration: Preferred Education.
