About the role

Woodmark Pharmacy of MA is looking for an organized and experienced Pharmacy Purchaser to make a difference in the lives of our residents in our long-term care, assisted living communities, and other residential and behavioral sites, as well as provide at-home pharmacy solutions.

Responsibilities

• Inventory management across facilities and sites
• Negotiation of contracts/prices with vendors and sales representatives
• Analyzing data from relevant sources for evaluation and analysis
• Monitoring budgets and expense reports to assure adherence to standards and contracts
• Working closely with related departments (accounting, nursing, administrators) to assure timely and effective utilization of pharmaceuticals and pharmacy supplies
• Working with operations manager to supervise departmental techs in conformance with departmental policies and processes

Requirements

• Certified Pharmacy Tech with prior pharmacy experience
• 1-3 years' experience in pharmaceutical purchasing responsibilities required
• IV Supply Purchasing preferred
• Knowledge of supply chain management including contract/rebate experience
• Bachelor’s degree in related field desirable
• Health care experience required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software package required
