Under general direction of the purchasing supervisor, takes responsibility for supporting the pharmacy in its goal of maintaining satisfactory inventory levels.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain appropriate inventory level based on utilization report and purchase history.
- Minimize Fill on Arrivals (FOA) orders.
- Restocking inventory.
- Follow predetermined company policies and procedures regarding controlled substances; ensures compliance with state, federal, and other regulatory agencies' requirements and laws.
- Supports compliance with all appropriate policies, procedures, safety rules, and DEA regulations.
- Follow Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA) requirements.
- Follow all applicable government regulations including HIPAA.
- Manage expired, recalled, and returned medications.
- Monitor and maintain drug files in computer system.
- Responsible for communicating any changes and all issues to department supervisor.
- Support and work closely with the department supervisor.
- Participate with corporate scheduled physical inventories.
- Abide by the company Drug Free Workplace policy. Drug screening is conducted at hire, or may be conducted company-wide, or on request upon reasonable suspicion.

Requirements
- Licensed Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacist.
- 1+ year of experience in a LTC Pharmacy setting and high volume pharmacy is preferred.
