About the role
Serves as a key leader overseeing an integrated team of payment policy specialists, clinical reviewers, statisticians, and data analysts to achieve CMS goals and objectives related to Medicare Part B and D programs.
Responsibilities
- Directs policy analysis and validates advanced analyses
- Supervises clinical reviews
- Identifies and evaluates program enhancements and innovative solutions to improve the Medicare Program
- Leverages deep pharmacy knowledge and extensive leadership experience to deliver technical recommendations to a wide range of stakeholders
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience in pharmacy roles
- 7+ years of experience in pharmacy roles in Medicare Part B and D programs
- Experience working with CMS data or health claims data, including Medicare and Medicaid, in the Independent Dispute Resolution (IDR) environment
- Experience facilitating large meetings with both internal and external audiences, and managing integrated teams, including subcontractors, with full oversight of contract budgets and delivery risks
- Experience with the federal procurement and proposal process
- Experience identifying, reporting, and mitigating contract, budget, or delivery risks proactively
- Experience collaborating with government payer programs, including Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS)
- Knowledge of Medicare Advantage encounter data and Prescription Drug Event (PDE) data
Qualifications
- Nice if you have: Experience with pharmaceutical benefit management organizations, experience in presenting technical reports and findings to Senior Level leaders, and working with stakeholders especially relating to pharmacists, clinicians, suppliers, and regulatory bodies, experience as a clinical pharmacist, knowledge of healthcare technology systems related to pharmacy, such as electronic health records (EHR), pharmacy information systems, or medication administration software, knowledge of analytic programming languages including R, Python, SAS, or SQL, knowledge of pharmaceutical care processes and pharmacy regulatory environments, ability to provide published research in peer-reviewed journals, ability to analyze pharmacy data to drive evidence-based decisions and quality improvement initiatives, Doctorate degree in Economics, Statistics, Pharmacy or related field, Project Management Professional (PMP), Program Management Professional (PgMP), or Pharmacy Certification

Pay
The estimated annual salary range for this position is $99,000.00 to $225,000.00 (annualized USD).
Schedule
Full-time and part-time employees working at least 20 hours a week on a regular basis are eligible to participate in Booz Allen’s benefit programs. Individuals that do not meet the threshold are only eligible for select offerings, not inclusive of health benefits.
