Pharmacy Operations Manager, Retail Pharmacy, Full Time, First Shift

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy (Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy accepted if licensed prior to 2003)
  • Active South Carolina Pharmacist License in good standing
  • Active National Provider Identifier (NPI)
  • Immunization Certification (or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire)
  • Current CPR/BLS Certification (or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Completion of PGY-1 Community or Ambulatory Care Residency
  • Additional certifications such as:
    • BCACP – Board Certified Ambulatory Care Pharmacist
    • BCPS – Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist
    • CDE/CDCES – Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist
  • Training or certification in:
    • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt
    • Medication Therapy Management (MTM)
    • Point-of-care testing
  • Experience with Epic Willow Ambulatory or similar pharmacy systems

Experience

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience as a licensed pharmacist in a retail, outpatient, or ambulatory care pharmacy setting
  • Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience, such as serving as a PIC, lead pharmacist, or pharmacy manager
  • Experience managing staff performance, scheduling, workflow coordination, and daily operational decision-making across a team or multiple sites
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume pharmacy environment with responsibility for accuracy, safety, and staff accountability
  • Familiarity with pharmacy regulatory requirements, controlled substance standards, and Board of Pharmacy expectations

Preferred Experience

  • Experience leading or overseeing multiple pharmacy locations or a team of pharmacy leaders
  • Experience mentoring, coaching, developing, or performance-managing pharmacists and/or PICs
  • Experience with pharmacy inventory management, purchasing, budgeting, or financial/operational performance metrics
  • Experience leading quality improvement, productivity improvement, or process redesign initiatives
  • Prior experience with Epic Willow Ambulatory or other enterprise pharmacy systems
  • Experience delivering or overseeing enhanced clinical services such as immunizations, MTM, point-of-care testing, or specialty medication support
