Pharmacy IV Admixture Tech II, Medical Oncology, Resource Pool

Responsibilities

• Drug distribution services
• Order entry functions
• Clerical functions
• The preparation of pharmaceutical doses and IV admixtures including chemotherapy or hazardous medications
• Maintaining adequate inventory levels of in-date pharmaceuticals
• Maintaining personal professional competency
• Aiding performance improvement activities
• Performs any other job-related duties as requested by a pharmacist or pharmacy management

Qualifications

• Must be registered with the South Carolina Pharmacy Board as a technician
• PREFERRED: Certified by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) and registered in good standing as a "Certified Pharmacy Technician" with the SC Board of Pharmacy
• If not currently certified, must obtain certifications within 6 months of hire
• Must have basic typing skills and a working knowledge of computers and equipment utilized in the preparation, repackaging, dispensing and distribution of pharmaceutical products
