Pharmacy IV Admixture Tech II, Medical Oncology, Resource Pool

Responsibilities

• drug distribution services
• order entry functions
• clerical functions
• the preparation of pharmaceutical doses and IV admixtures including chemotherapy or hazardous medications
• maintaining adequate inventory levels of in date pharmaceuticals
• maintaining personal professional competency
• aiding performance improvement activities
• performs any other job related duties as requested by a pharmacist or pharmacy management

Qualifications

• Must be registered with the South Carolina Pharmacy Board as a technician.
• Preferred to be certified by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board, (PTCB), and registered in good standing as a "Certified Pharmacy Technician" with the SC Board of Pharmacy. (This requires being a graduate of an approved Pharmacy Technician program and by having submitted documentation for their required number of work experience hours as a pharmacy technician or having met requirements to be grandfathered in by 2004).
• If not currently certified, must obtain certifications within 6 months of hire.

Skills

• Must have basic typing skills and a working knowledge of computers and equipment utilized in the preparation, repackaging, dispensing and distribution of pharmaceutical products.
