About the role
The Pharmacy Intern performs professional functions associated with the practice of Pharmacy under the supervision of a registered pharmacist.
Responsibilities
- Order processing
- Clinical evaluations
- Inventory control
- Drug information
- Drug distribution
- IV compounding
- Works as a pharmacy technician or inventory control clerk when needed
Requirements
Candidates must have completed at least 2 years of General Education Requirements and be enrolled in an ACPE accredited School of Pharmacy. Candidates with lesser experience but pursuing a career in pharmacy may be considered. A current NY State Pharmacy Intern License in good standing is required.
Experience
Prior experience in institutional pharmacy is preferred.
Compliance
The pharmacy intern must demonstrate compliance with all federal and state standards, with an emphasis on preventing fraud and abuse.
Pay
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $22.82/hr.
