Responsibilities

• Customer service: Communicating with patients in person and via telephone; assisting patients with product selection; obtaining medication prices (internally and from competitors) pursuant to patient requests.
• Processing and filling prescriptions: Using pharmacy computer system for prescription data entry & third party adjudication; pulling correct products from the shelf; counting and labeling prescriptions appropriately at fill station; receiving new prescriptions from patients, selling prescriptions to patients at the Will Call station.
• Third-party functions.
• Inventory management: Updating balance on hand (BOH); product ordering; looking up Meijer codes; checking-in and putting away orders; processing vendor charge backs (VCBs)/transfers/salvage.
• Clinical services: Performing health screening tests and immunizations after proper training and state-specific authorization; working under a pharmacist to perform MTM services when applicable & allowed.
