About the role

We are looking for a Graduate Pharmacy Intern to join our team. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in a retail pharmacy setting, applying your didactic learning to real-world practice. You will be part of a team committed to improving access to healthcare and enhancing patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Apply didactic learning from pharmacy school to real-world practice
  • Complete a comprehensive training roadmap within 120 days of graduation
  • Support pharmacy teams to ensure smooth operations, prompt and accurate prescription fulfillment
  • Provide empathetic and caring service to patients
  • Operate as part of the pharmacy team, adhering to standard operating procedures and best practices
  • Contribute to positive patient experiences and maintain a safe and inclusive environment
  • Take on greater accountability for supporting management, oversight, and operations within the pharmacy
  • Support additional patient health care services, including immunizations and point-of-care testing
  • Comply with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical principles

Requirements

  • PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning the Post-Graduate Training Program at CVS Health
  • Ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within the required timeframe, per state guidelines
  • Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
  • Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
  • Attention and focus: Ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time
  • Customer service and team orientation: Actively look for ways to help people, and do so in a friendly manner
  • Communication skills: Use and understand verbal and written communication to interact with patients and colleagues
  • Problem resolution: Identify challenging patient or colleague interactions and choose the best course of action when faced with multiple options
  • Physical demands: Be mobile and remain upright for extended periods of time; lift, scan, and bag items; reach overhead; stretch or reach out with the body, arms, and/or legs to grasp items; move fingers repetitively; pick, pinch, type, or otherwise work primarily with fingers rather than whole hand or arm; extend hand(s) and arm(s) multiple directions to place, move, or lift items; control precision; quickly adjust machines to exact positions; stoop to a considerable degree, requiring full use of the lower extremities and back muscles to move items between low and high positions, including bending spine at the waist; close visual acuity to perform activities such as: transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, reading, visual inspection involving small parts; occasionally lift of up to 20 lbs and/or exert up to 20 lbs. of force; frequently lift of up to 10 lbs and/or exert up to 10 lbs. of force; consistently lift and/or exert a negligible amount of force to move objects

Qualifications

Pay

The typical pay range for this role is $25.25 - $42.00.
