About the Role

As a 3rd year pharmacy intern at CVS Health, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, playing a critical role in ensuring a safe and effective Retail Pharmacy work environment that delivers exceptional care to each patient. This includes responsibilities in patient safety, pharmacy professional practice, regulatory requirements, quality assurance, customer service, inventory management, and workflow management (excluding final prescription verification).

  • Ensure patient health through adoption and management of patient care programs.
  • Perform tasks requiring regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
  • Complete all required training and obtain necessary licensure within state guidelines.
  • Perform additional tasks as directed by a supervisor or manager.

Requirements

  • Accepted into or actively enrolled in an ACPE-accredited college or school of pharmacy.
  • 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Must possess or be in the process of obtaining valid intern and/or technician licensure as required by state regulations.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to meet physical demands, including:
    • Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
    • Mobility and remaining upright for extended periods.
    • Lifting, scanning, and bagging items.
    • Finger dexterity for typing, picking, pinching, or working with small items.
    • Reaching overhead or extending arms in multiple directions.
    • Precision control for adjusting machines or equipment.
    • Stooping, bending, and lifting items between low and high positions.
    • Close visual acuity for transcribing, reading, and inspecting small parts.
    • Occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs and exerting force as required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Immunization eligibility (pharmacy interns should strive to provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).

Pay

The typical pay range for this role is $20.50 - $24.25 per hour.
