Pharmacy Intern - Grad

About the role

We are seeking a Graduate Pharmacy Intern to join our team. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in a fast-paced retail environment, applying your didactic learning from pharmacy school to real-world practice.

Responsibilities

• Apply didactic learning from pharmacy school to real-world practice
• Complete a comprehensive training roadmap within 120 days of graduation
• Support pharmacy teams to ensure smooth operations and accurate prescription fulfillment
• Provide empathetic and caring service to patients
• Contribute to positive patient experiences
• Assist with immunizations and other services
• Support inventory activities as permitted by law
• Support additional patient health care services, including immunizations

Requirements

• PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning the Post-Graduate Training Program at CVS Health
• Ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within the required timeframe, per state guidelines
• Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
• Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
• Attention and focus: Ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time
• Communication skills: Use and understand verbal and written communication to interact with patients and colleagues
• Problem resolution: Identify challenging patient or colleague interactions and choose the best course of action when faced with multiple options
• Physical demands: Be mobile and remain upright for extended periods of time; lift, scan, and bag items; reach overhead; stretch or reach out with the body, arms, and/or legs to grasp items; control precision; quickly adjust machines to exact positions; stoop to a considerable degree, requiring full use of the lower extremities and back muscles to move items between low and high positions, including bending spine at the waist; close visual acuity to perform activities such as: transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, reading, visual inspection involving small parts; occasionally lift of up to 20 lbs and/or exert up to 20 lbs. of force; frequently lift of up to 10 lbs and/or exert up to 10 lbs. of force; consistently lift and/or exert a negligible amount of force to move objects; express or exchange ideas by means of spoken word where detailed or important spoken instructions must be conveyed accurately

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain required intern and/or technician licensure as required
• Ability to work in home store, and across the market in other locations, to meet business needs
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)

Pay

The typical pay range for this role is $24.25 - $42.00 per hour.

Schedule

This is a part-time position, typically scheduled based on business needs.
