Pharmacy Intern
About the role
Be the heart of compassionate care in a patient care support role with us! In this vital position, you'll provide essential assistance and comfort to patients, ensuring they receive the best possible experience during their healthcare journey. You will act under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist and provide assistance in dispensing functions, including:
- Purchasing and inventory control of all drug classes
- Sterile product preparation and associated equipment maintenance
- Automated dispensing cabinet equipment and inventory maintenance
- Technical duties to maintain pharmaceutical dispensing functions for neonate, child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, including inpatients and outpatients
Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Experience:
- Required: 3 years of pharmacy experience
- Preferred: 2 years of hospital experience
License & Certification:
- Florida Registered Pharmacy Technician Certification
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through PTCB
- Accredited training in sterile products preparation and IV Admixture Certification
