Pharmacy Intern

Schedule

• Rotating shifts: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM, 10:00 AM–6:00 PM, or 12:00 PM–8:00 PM
• Rotating weekends: 10:00 AM–6:00 PM

Responsibilities

• Provides clinical consultative services to patients and therapeutic recommendations to nurses, physicians, and other hospice personnel
• Conducts and evaluates medication profiles/histories and assesses compliance
• Suggests modifications to optimize medication regimens using sound clinical pharmacy principles, accounting for pharmacodynamic and pharmacokinetic variations
• Answers customer questions and resolves issues in a timely and professional manner
• Enters and retrieves data in the pharmacy system
• Transcribes, verifies, and fills medication orders
• Maintains proper storage and security conditions for medications
• Contributes to a productive and error-free work environment by keeping pharmacy workspaces neat and orderly

Qualifications

• Exceptionally strong written and verbal communication skills, with a customer-first attitude
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize tasks
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and maintain professional composure during stressful situations
• Ability to work cooperatively with pharmacists and technicians
• Pharmacy Intern License
