Pharmacy Intern

Responsibilities

• Completion of a comprehensive training roadmap focusing on Key Learning Experiences (KLEs) that build aptitude in areas such as:
  • Following company SOPs at each workstation
  • Pharmacy workflow procedures
  • Providing empathetic and caring service
  • Telephonic prescription handling
  • Inventory management
  • Supporting immunizations
• Assisting the pharmacy team to ensure smooth operations, prompt and accurate prescription fulfillment, and caring service
• Operating as part of the pharmacy team through consistent application of SOPs, best practices, and effective communication
• Demonstrating empathy and genuine care in patient interactions
• Offering counseling, answering medical questions, and gathering patient information
• Maintaining high levels of self-awareness and providing coaching and mentoring to team members
• Completing basic inventory activities and assisting with cycle counts, returns-to-stocks, and waiting bin inventories
• Contributing to a high-performing team, embracing a growth mindset, and being receptive to feedback
• Remaining flexible for scheduling and business needs, and fostering a safe, inclusive, and engaging team dynamic
• Supporting immunizations, including obtaining Technician Immunizer status, educating patients, monitoring adverse reactions, and documenting information

Qualifications

• Accepted into, or actively enrolled in, an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
• Possession, or process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
