About the role

As a 3rd year pharmacy intern, you have a significant role in our company working as a part of the pharmacy team—delivering our purpose, modeling our values, and demonstrating genuine, authentic care for our patients. Under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, you play a critical role in ensuring a safe and effective Retail Pharmacy work environment that delivers exceptional care to each patient.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure patient safety, pharmacy professional practice, and compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Deliver quality assurance and customer service
  • Manage workflow and inventory (excluding final prescription verification)
  • Lead with empathy and compassion for patients, customers, caregivers, and colleagues
  • Adopt and manage patient care programs to keep customers and patients healthy
  • Seek new ways to grow, collaborate, and deliver better outcomes
  • Align others around the company’s purpose to bring care to every moment of health
  • Facilitate a team culture that promotes caring, energy, enthusiasm, and pride

Education

Accepted into or actively enrolled in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.

Required Qualifications

  • Accepted into or actively enrolled in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
  • 0–3 years of relevant work experience
  • Must possess or be in the process of obtaining valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Complete all required training within state guidelines and required timeframe
  • Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance, including weekends
  • Ability to be mobile and remain upright for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift, scan, and bag items
  • Finger dexterity for tasks such as picking, pinching, typing, or other fine motor activities
  • Ability to reach overhead and stretch or reach out with the body, arms, and/or legs to grasp items
  • Precision control to adjust machines to exact positions
  • Ability to stoop and use lower extremities and back muscles to move items between low and high positions
  • Close visual acuity for transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, reading, and visual inspection involving small parts
  • Ability to orally communicate information and instructions to colleagues and customers
  • Occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs; exerting up to 20 lbs of force occasionally and/or up to 10 lbs of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects

Preferred Qualifications

  • Eligibility to administer immunizations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)

Pay

The typical pay range for this role is $20.00 – $23.75.
