Responsibilities

  • Completion of a comprehensive training roadmap focusing on Key Learning Experiences (KLEs) that build aptitude in areas such as:
    • Following company SOPs at each workstation to help Pharmacists and Technicians manage and improve patient health.
    • Following pharmacy workflow procedures at each pharmacy workstation for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment.
    • Contributing to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care.
    • Taking telephonic prescriptions from the prescriber and clarifying prescriptions or facilitating medication changes.
    • Maintaining the highest level of self-awareness and providing in-the-moment coaching, training, and mentoring to pharmacy team members.
    • Completing basic inventory activities, as permitted by law.
    • Supporting immunizations, including obtaining Technician Immunizer status, educating patients about vaccines, and monitoring adverse reactions.
  • Increasing responsibility in safety and effectiveness of operations in the pharmacy, including managing and improving patient health.
  • Assisting the pharmacy team to ensure smooth operation, prompt and accurate prescription fulfillment, and caring service.
  • Operating as part of the pharmacy team through consistent application of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), best practices, and effective communication.
  • Demonstrating empathy and genuine care in all customer and colleague interactions, contributing to a safe and inclusive culture.

Required Qualifications

  • Accepted into, or actively enrolled in, an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
  • Possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required.

Essential Functions

  • Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
  • Ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time.
  • Ability to pivot quickly from one task to another to meet patient and business needs.
  • Attention to detail and focus on confirming prescription information and label accuracy.
  • Effective communication skills, including using and understanding verbal and written communication to interact with patients and colleagues.
  • Mathematical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
  • Physical demands, including mobility, reaching overhead, stretching, and lifting up to 20 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ years of related work experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting.
  • Ability to become immunization certified once state regulations are met.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
