Responsibilities
- Completion of a comprehensive training roadmap focusing on Key Learning Experiences (KLEs) that build aptitude in areas such as:
- Following company SOPs at each workstation
- Pharmacy workflow procedures
- Providing empathetic and caring service
- Handling medical questions and counseling patients
- Telephonic prescription processing
- Maintaining inventory and cycle counts
- Supporting immunizations and other patient health care services
- Assisting the pharmacy team to ensure smooth operations, prompt and accurate prescription fulfillment, and patient satisfaction
- Operating as part of the pharmacy team, applying Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), best practices, and effective communication
- Demonstrating empathy and genuine care in all customer and colleague interactions
- Learning and complying with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical principles
- Complying with CVS policies and procedures to ensure patient safety and security
- Supporting additional patient health care services, including immunizations, point-of-care testing, and offsite clinic staffing
Requirements
- Accepted into, or actively enrolled in, an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
- Possession or process of obtaining valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
- Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
- Attention and focus, including concentration on tasks and pivoting quickly between tasks
- Customer service and team orientation, including actively looking for ways to help people and responding appropriately
- Effective communication, including using and understanding verbal and written communication
- Mathematical reasoning, including using math to solve problems
- Problem resolution, including identifying and resolving challenging patient or colleague interactions
- Physical demands, including mobility, remaining upright for extended periods, lifting up to 20 lbs, reaching overhead, stretching, and bending
Qualifications
- 1+ years of related work experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
- Ability to become immunization certified once state regulations are met
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
