Responsibilities
- Assists the Pharmacist in the support of the drug distribution systems, including patient counseling and pharmacokinetic calculations.
- Participates in performance improvement and data collection activities.
- Responsible for dosage preparation, preparation of sterile admixture using aseptic technique, floor stock delivery, pre-packaging, billing, receiving, and stocking.
- Manages inventory control, controlled substances distribution, documentation, and accountability.
- Assists in the inspection of medication storage areas throughout the hospital.
- Maintains the cleanliness of the department.
- Provides pharmaceutical care for neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
- Performs other tasks as assigned by the Pharmacist.
Qualifications
- Current enrollment as a Pharmacy Student.
- Current State Board of Pharmacy Certificate of Pharmacy Intern.
Pay
A reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $25.70 per hour.
