PHARMACY DIRECTOR

About the role

The Pharmacy Director at Pharmacy Alternatives is responsible for leading the pharmacy team, controlling costs, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Controls pharmacy costs to meet or exceed budgeted cost per script.
• Provides leadership and direction to build an effective team and develop associates.
• Maintains positive customer relationships and resolves customer issues.
• Implements, maintains, and reports on core processes.
• Maintains pharmacy compliance with all regulatory requirements.
• Manages the dispensing process to exceed the company's goal.
• Manages staffing and scheduling to optimize production and contain labor costs.
• Hires, evaluates, disciplines, and separates employees, and monitors and approves payroll.
• Manages physical inventory to meet client requirements and company goals.
• Implements company, region, and district policies, processes, and initiatives.
• Provides timely and accurate reports as required.
• Ensures job responsibilities are conducted in accordance with the company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, policies, procedures, and professional standards.

Requirements

• Education/Learning Experience: Bachelor’s degree; MBA desired.
• Work Experience: Management/supervisory experience; experience in pharmacy/healthcare desired.
• Licenses/Certifications: As required by state regulations; clean driving record and proof of auto insurance.

Qualifications

• Skills/Knowledge: Computer skills; business/financial knowledge; knowledge of pharmacy regulations; LTC pharmacy; performance management.
• Behavior Competencies: Results-oriented; planning/organizing; communication (oral/written); people management; strategic and analytical thinking; teamwork.

USD $145,000.00 - $155,000.00 / Year
