The Pharmacy Director oversees pharmacy operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant pharmaceutical services within a healthcare facility. This role involves leading and motivating pharmacy staff to foster a high-performance, patient-centered environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage departmental budgets for staffing, medications, and supplies.
• Oversee clinical pharmacy practices, including medication safety, antimicrobial stewardship, and drug preparation.
• Educate staff on pharmaceutical care, current medications, and evidence-based practices.
• Collaborate with hospital committees such as Quality Assurance, Formulary, and Safety.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and national pharmacy regulations and accreditation standards.
• Provide direct patient and pharmaceutical care as needed.

Requirements

• Licensure by the State Pharmacy Board.
• Accredited pharmacy degree.
• Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience.
