Responsibilities

• Comply with local, state, and federal regulations; report illegal activity
• Ensure compliance with and reinforcement of safety and sanitation regulations
• Create a welcoming environment for customers
• Maintain departmental standards including cleanliness and organization
• Manage computerized inventory and adhere to company guidelines
• Answer phone calls and triage inquiries
• Promote sales and services to customers and associates
• Follow guidelines on accepting and tendering vendor coupons, cash shortages, and company shrink
• Operate cash registers and follow cashier handling policies
• Provide a stellar customer experience while accurately dispensing products
• Adhere to HIPAA regulations and company policies regarding customer and business information
• Support company health and wellness initiatives
• Work cooperatively in high-paced and sometimes stressful environments
• Manage conflict in a reasonable, non-confrontational, and cooperative manner
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
• Follow directions and seek assistance when necessary to resolve issues
• Provide support and assistance through direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Age 18 or older
• Previous comparable experience desirable
• Experience with customer service, including registries, phone, and cashier
• Experience with inventory control in a retail environment desirable
