Pharmacy Buyer

Job Description Saint Luke's Hospital is seeking a Pharmacy Buyer to join our team! Under the supervision of a pharmacist, this position is responsible for a broad range of purchasing functions which includes electronic drug purchasing, receiving orders, charge-credit processing and meeting with drug representatives; purchasing pharmaceuticals and supplies consistent with departmental and SLHS policies and procedures. Hours 8-4:30 M-FReview and analyze purchasing documents. This process includes conferring with departments regarding requirements, specifications, quantities and delivery requirementsMaintain cost-effective purchasing techniques and find appropriate alternatives to medications on shortage, back order, high-dollar, etc.Responsible for direct drug purchase orders to vendors of pharmaceuticals and supplies. This may involve some negotiation on pricing and deliveryInteract with prime wholesaler to assure compliance with terms and conditions of contractsInform supervisor/staff of critical drug shortages and backordersResolve invoicing discrepancies such as price or quantity received.Process adjustments for damaged or incorrect shipments.Coordinate removal and return of recalled drug productsKeeps current with regulations and federal laws governing the 340B drug pricing program and implements changes as necessary to maintain compliance (for 340B eligible facilities) Job Requirements Applicable Experience: 3-5 years Pharmacy Technician - Various Diploma Job Details Full Time Day (United States of America)
