We've transformed into a leading community health center in the Pacific Northwest with 40+ clinics across Washington and Oregon, offering a wide range of services including medical, dental, pharmacy, orthodontia, nutritional counseling, autism screening, and behavioral health. Our holistic model also extends assistance to shelter, energy, weatherization, HIV and AIDS counseling, home visits, and mobile medical/dental clinics.
Pay
- $19.69-$24.12/hour, depending on experience, with the ability to go higher for highly experienced candidates
- Additional pay for bilingual skills, paid on hours worked

Schedule

Responsibilities
- Answer the phone, address non-professional inquiries, and transfer calls to appropriate staff
- Enter patient data and billing information into the system, including patient name, insurance, allergies, doctor, and diagnosis
- Deliver prescriptions to patients, verifying correct medication is provided, and collect payment and signature
- Coordinate prescription counseling by the Pharmacist as needed
- Maintain awareness of stock levels and place orders for restocking based on defined minimum inventory levels
- Verify product orders received against invoices and purchase orders, label items, and place them on shelves
- Monitor and check expiration dates on drugs in stock
- Return or discard unclaimed prescriptions to stock and enter information for reverse billing as allowed by state regulations
- Process prescription refills, verifying refill availability as allowed by state regulations
- Complete third-party billing forms and contact providers for prior authorization as allowed by state regulations
- Perform clinical responsibilities in alignment with The Joint Commission (TJC), Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), and YVFWC requirements
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- One year of experience as a pharmacy assistant, office, administrative, patient care, or customer service role
- Pharmacy Assistant state registration required within 60 days of hire (or active Pharmacy Intern License)
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) speaking skills required at a level 9
- Effective verbal and listening communication skills with a customer-oriented approach
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Ability to perform administrative tasks such as answering phones, filing, faxing, scanning, and copying
- Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to organize work while performing multiple tasks requiring attention to detail
- Basic proficiency with computer systems, including Microsoft Office (preferred)
- Basic knowledge of at least one pharmacy software system (preferred)
- Pre-employment drug screen required after conditional offer of employment
