Pharmacy Assistant
Brief Description
The Pharmacy Assistant is the first representative of pharmacy to our patients and plays a key role in ensuring our patients have a welcoming and productive visit. In this role, the assistant must provide the highest level of customer service while actively working to help the patient in a warm, helpful, and empathetic manner. The Pharmacy Assistant is also accountable for important administrative, cashiering, and clerical functions to support the pharmacy team, optimize patient visit quality, and keep patient records accurate and current.
Responsibilities
- Provides excellent service, information and support to patients and colleagues on the phone and in person.
- Manages prescription transactions according to established procedures.
- Consistently maintains patient data base.
- Performs rebilling process.
- Efficiently inputs refills for patients.
- Accurately maintains register and cash box cash amounts.
Requirements
- Must have obtained Pharmacy Assistant licensure with the State of Washington.
- Bilingual Spanish/English required.
- Travel between work sites as needed.
- Must provide documentation of a valid driver's license and auto insurance as required.
