This position is supported by the Md Afjalus Siraj, PhD Ferris Research Grant, 2026. The student Research Assistant will investigate how combination therapy, such as SMNDC1 inhibitor along with KRAS inhibitor, overcomes targeted therapy resistance in pancreatic cancer.

Requirements

• Current Ferris State University student majoring in Forensic Biology, Biotechnology, or Biochemistry

Responsibilities

• Design and revise laboratory protocols
• Develop in-hand cell-based assays
• Maintain lab notes and hold regular discussions with the Principal Investigator (PI)
• Attend weekly lab meetings
• Discuss other weekly responsibilities with the PI
• Conduct literature reviews and data extraction
• Perform data analysis
