Pharmacology Associate

The main function of a Pharmacology Associate is to support drug development and research by conducting laboratory experiments, analyzing pharmacological data, and assisting in the evaluation of drug efficacy and safety. A typical Pharmacology Associate works closely with scientists and cross-functional teams to advance therapeutic programs.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct in vivo experiments to assess drug activity and efficacy.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic data, prepare reagents, maintain lab equipment, and manage sample inventory.
  • Collaborate with research teams to support preclinical and clinical studies.
  • Aid in the development of protocols and standard operating procedures.
  • Present findings in team meetings and contribute to scientific publications.

Skills

  • Strong understanding of pharmacological principles and vivo laboratory techniques.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., GraphPad Prism, Excel, R).
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow complex protocols.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Experience with animal handling and dosing techniques is a plus.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Pharmacology, Biology, Biochemistry, or related field.
  • 0-2 years of experience in a research or pharmaceutical laboratory setting.

Pay

The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $31.58 - $31.58 /hour. Non-exempt positions are eligible for overtime at a rate of 1.5 times the base hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of 40 in a work week, or as required by state or local law. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience.
