Pharmacologist | Remote
Quick Snapshot
Verify protein target assignments in large-scale bioactivity databases (ChEMBL, BindingDB) to support model-driven drug discovery pipelines.
Work directly with primary literature and patents to assess UniProt ID accuracy.
High-judgment, science-first work.
Flexible, fully remote schedule you control; immediate start available.
1-2 month minimum engagement with strong likelihood of extension.
Paid weekly via Stripe or Wise as an independent contractor.
Collaborative environment working alongside researchers building next-generation discovery systems.
Open to BA/BS, MS, and PhD-level scientists across experience levels.
Requirements
- Hold a degree in pharmacology, biochemistry, molecular biology, or chemical biology with relevant industry, drug discovery, or CRO experience.
- Currently bench-active in a research scientist or associate scientist capacity.
- Hands-on experience with binding or functional assays such as SPR, TR-FRET, radioligand binding, kinase assays, GPCR functional assays, IC50/Ki/KD.
- Working fluency with UniProt and adjacent workflows such as SAR support, HTS, target validation, or biochemical profiling.
- Ability to read primary literature critically, classify errors using structured taxonomies, and write concise, evidence-grounded scientific notes.
- Familiarity with ChEMBL, BindingDB, or PubChem is a strong plus.
- Background in selectivity profiling, counterscreening, or agonist/antagonist pharmacology distinctions is advantageous.
