Job Profile

As a Staff Pharmacist at Meijer's Terre Haute, IN store, you play a crucial role in enriching the lives of the communities you serve. Your responsibilities include:

  • Filling prescriptions safely and accurately.
  • Maintaining positive relationships with patients, team members, and leadership.
  • Holding pharmacy technicians accountable for results in an appropriate and effective manner.
  • Mentor, train, and guide pharmacy technicians.
  • Educate and mentor pharmacy technicians to be effective team members.
  • Motivate team members to perform to their highest level.
  • Be competent and knowledgeable of Meijer Policies and Procedures as well as state and federal laws.
  • Show excellent communication skills and act as an agent of change.
  • Show excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload.
  • Listen to the patient and resolve their needs, focusing on customer service.
  • In the absence of the pharmacist in charge, be responsible for the pharmacy operations.
  • Perform and oversee (where allowed) clinical services, including immunizations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science Degree or Doctorate of Pharmacy.
  • Registered and licensed in the state of practice.
  • Certified Immunization Pharmacist (except Indiana).
  • Experience in Retail/Community Practice.
  • Working knowledge of pharmacy systems.
  • Understanding of policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements in the state the unit operates.
