Overview

Scope of Responsibilities: Oversees the day-to-day operations of the Pharmacy department. Assists in the training and development of subordinate staff, estimating personnel needs, assigning work, meeting completion dates, interpreting and ensuring consistent application of organizational policies. Relies on experience and professional judgment to plan and accomplish assigned tasks and goals.

Job Summary

Responsible for the implementation and adherence to the Kinney Standard of Practice as it relates to the provision of the highest quality health care service to our customers. Responsibilities include following the Kinney Standard of Practice to dispense prescriptions and counsel patients, performing all quality assurance steps to ensure a technically accurate prescription is dispensed, reporting dispensing incidents in a timely manner, following all State and Federal guidelines governing the practice of Pharmacy, overseeing the initial submission, resubmission and collection of all third party claims, managing and balancing the pharmacy inventory to provide for maximum turns while still remaining in-stock for customer needs, overseeing the transmitting, processing and receiving of orders to and from the Kinney Warehouse and additional suppliers as needed, overseeing the checking of pharmacy inventory for outdates and processing of all returns, ensuring prescription files and other manual records are maintained in accordance with all state and federal guidelines, ensuring in-store pharmacy technology is being used to its fullest potential to allow for a maximum return on investment of the technology and life span, ensuring outstanding customer service is exhibited by all employees at all times, ensuring all loss Prevention policies are followed by all employees and report deviations from said policies to Loss Prevention, assisting in the implementation of all corporate pharmacy marketing, advertising and promotional programs are fully executed and implemented, overseeing the maintenance of the pharmacy department to ensure a clean and professional environment, maintaining and developing professional relationships with doctors and others in the health service professions, maintaining an awareness of developments in the Pharmacy and Health Care Services fields that relate to job responsibilities and integrating them into own practice, maintaining confidentiality regarding all patient information, facilitating communication between professional staff and pharmacy personnel, assisting in meeting or exceeding budgetary sales guidelines and operating the pharmacy within said guidelines, assisting in the training and development of all pharmacy department personnel, including use of the Kinney Pharmacy Clerk and Technician Training Program, interfacing with various auditors and outside agencies, as needed, responsible for completing all mandatory and regulatory training programs, perform other duties as assigned.

Education Qualifications

Minimum: BS or Pharm D degree in Pharmacy

Job Requirements

Posses and maintain a valid State License and current registration to practice Pharmacy, Ability to stand/walk throughout majority of shift, Successful completion of a pre-employment and/or random drug screening test, Certified Immunizer

Special Conditions Of Employment

Initial and continuous exclusion and sanction/disciplinary monitoring, Compensation $125,000- $135,000 per year, The final offer will be determined after careful consideration of multiple factors such as relevant skills, years of experience and education, KPH Healthcare Services, Inc. is a multistate organization and abides by all local, state and federal regulations as it pertains to minimum wage requirements.
