Pharmacist (Registry)

Responsibilities

• Identifies, assesses, and solves medication problems.
• Provides drug information to physicians, staff, and family (caregivers).
• Processes all prescription orders, maintaining appropriate records.
• Oversight of preparation, storage, and distribution of all pharmaceuticals.
• Supervision of pharmacy technicians and pharmacy support personnel.
• Deals with pressure to meet deadlines, maintains accuracy, and handles constantly changing situations.
• Deals with a variety of people, handles stressful situations, and handles conflict.

Requirements

• Licensure or eligibility for licensure as a pharmacist in Montana.
• Licenses or degrees: Pharm.D. degree, or BS Pharmacy, from an accredited school of pharmacy.
• Certification: Anticoagulation therapy management certification from ACPE Accredited course and/or certified anticoagulation provider from ASHP when applicable.
