More About Our Team Rehabilitation Hospital of Rhode Island is a state-of-the-art, inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital dedicated to the treatment and recovery of individuals who have experienced the debilitating effects of a severe injury or illness. Our rehabilitation programs provide ongoing care and specialized treatment to patients throughout their recovery journey. We offer customized, individualized rehabilitation tailored to the specific needs of those recovering from a stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injury. How You'll Contribute The Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospital Pharmacist plays a vital role in ensuring the safe, effective, and appropriate use of medications for patients recovering from illness, injury, surgery, or disabling conditions. This position provides comprehensive pharmaceutical care through medication order verification, clinical drug therapy review, anticoagulation monitoring, and collaboration with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members. The Pharmacist supports medication safety and quality improvement initiatives, supervises pharmacy technicians, and helps optimize patient outcomes by promoting evidence-based medication management. Responsibilities also include maintaining regulatory compliance, managing medication inventory, utilizing pharmacy technology systems, and supporting a patient-centered rehabilitation environment. What We're Looking For Applicants should have Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy; BS Pharm or PharmD required; accredited clinical residency preferred.Current state license to practice pharmacy.Two (2) years of hospital pharmacy experience preferred. Programs are designed to help patients recover from a variety of injuries and illnesses, including brain, orthopedic and spinal cord injuries, stroke, neurological conditions, trauma and amputation. Our programs center around the individual needs of each patient to improve health, function and quality of life. Acute inpatient rehabilitation facilities differ from other post-acute options, such as skilled nursing facilities, most notably in the amount of quality physical, occupational and speech therapy offered, and medical oversight provided.
