Core Responsibilities
- Serve as Pharmacist in Charge with full on-site operational and regulatory accountability for the Longleaf, New Port Richey
- Maintain daily pharmacy operations with a focus on dispensing accuracy, patient safety, and workflow consistency
- Verify physician orders, ensure appropriate medication dispensing, and identify therapeutic incompatibilities
- Counsel patients on appropriate medication use and serve as a knowledgeable resource for providers and clinical staff
- Ensure ongoing compliance with all applicable state and federal pharmacy laws and Florida Board of Pharmacy requirements
- Maintain compliance with all Joint Commission accreditation standards and elements of performance
- Ensure adherence to 340B program requirements applicable to this location
- Manage inventory including ordering, expiration monitoring, and removal of unusable or outdated medications
- Support staff training and ensure consistent adherence to established workflow standards and procedures
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to safety and efficiency at the site level
- Maintain infection control protocols and pharmacy safety standards
Qualifications
- BS Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited institution
- Active and unrestricted Florida Pharmacist License
- Strong attention to detail and a consistent commitment to patient safety
- Must not be excluded from participation in federal healthcare programs
- Preferred: Retail pharmacy or outpatient management background, 3 or more years of pharmacy management experience, 340B program familiarity, Prior experience opening or launching a new pharmacy location, Rx30 pharmacy software experience, Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel
