About the Role
Responsible for the implementation and adherence to the HealthDirect Standard of Practice as it relates to the provision of the highest quality health care service to customers. Oversees operations of the Pharmacy department, relying on experience and professional judgment to plan and accomplish assigned tasks and goals.
Responsibilities
- Follow the HealthDirect Standard of Practice to dispense prescriptions and perform all quality assurance steps to ensure a technically accurate prescription is dispensed.
- Report dispensing incidents in a timely manner, in accordance with company guidelines.
- Follow all State and Federal regulations governing the practice of Pharmacy.
- Oversee the initial submission, resubmission, and collection of all third-party claims.
- Manage and balance the pharmacy inventory to ensure maximum turns while remaining in-stock for customer needs.
- Ensure prescription files and other manual records are maintained in accordance with all state and federal guidelines.
- Ensure outstanding customer service is exhibited by all employees at all times.
- Enforce all Loss Prevention policies and report deviations to Loss Prevention.
- Oversee the maintenance of the pharmacy department to ensure a clean and professional environment.
- Maintain and develop professional relationships with doctors and others in the health service professions.
- Maintain awareness of developments in the Pharmacy and Health Care Services fields and integrate them into practice.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding all patient information.
- Facilitate communication between professional staff and pharmacy personnel.
- Assist in meeting or exceeding budgetary sales guidelines and operate the pharmacy within said guidelines.
- Interface with various auditors and outside agencies, as needed.
- Complete all mandatory and regulatory training programs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Possess and maintain a valid State License and current registration to practice Pharmacy.
- Ability to stand/walk throughout the majority of the shift.
Qualifications
Minimum: BS or Pharm D degree in Pharmacy.
Skills
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Basic keyboarding skills.
Pay
$55.00 - $63.61 an hour. The final offer will be determined after careful consideration of multiple factors such as relevant skills, years of experience, and education.
