Pharmacist, Part Time Weekend

About the role

This position requires you to work within our licensed pharmacy in Stafford, TX and not from your home. Through our remote service we serve acute‑care hospitals, allowing you to practice hospital pharmacy outside a hospital setting, utilizing clinical skills such as monitoring, dosing and reviewing patient medication therapy while the hospital handles dispensing.

Work Schedule

Every other Saturday and Sunday, daytime hours (10‑hour shifts).

Responsibilities

• Remote order entry and CPOE order evaluation and verification
• Assure acquisition or renewal of all pharmacy staff licenses
• Perform as staff pharmacist as needed
• Physician and nursing consultations
• Clinical medication dosing services
• Review and monitoring of patient profiles and lab values for therapeutic outcomes
• Coordinate access to medications according to facility policy and procedures, and in compliance with state and federal laws and regulations

Qualifications

• Active Texas Pharmacist License required
• 2‑4 years of clinical hospital inpatient experience preferred
• Willing and able to obtain at least five additional state licenses within the first six months (including reciprocity to additional states)
• Computer savvy – able to learn and operate multiple pharmacy information systems
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with healthcare professionals to deliver competent clinical care

Pay

Anticipated hourly range: $50.10 per hour – $64.53 per hour based on experience (includes shift differential). Pay is determined by factors such as location, education, experience, skill and internal pay equity.
